Dog Paralysis

Neurological disorders account for a substantial proportion of cases facing veterinarians and are often difficult to diagnose. Animals may present with an enormously diverse range of clinical signs, from behavioural changes, incontinence, loss of sensation, or collapse, through to blindness, seizures, paralysis or coma. These problems may be a consequence of a variety of diseases of the nervous system, at various locations. This Self-Assessment Color Review presents the reader with the many and varied manifestations of neurological diseases in the dog and cat, and will help veterinarians in practice and in training to assess and reinforce their own diagnostic and management skills. Cases are presented as questions, usually accompanied by clinical color photographs or imaging, in random order, at differing levels of expertise, and are followed by full explanatory answers.
